TIKTOK

Process

There were many learnings along the way. Firstly, I starting with branding. crafted the look-and-feel of my posts, especially the kind of color palettes that aligned with the kind of wadrobe and style I want my brand to be known for. Later, I defined my content strategy for Instagram and Youtube. I later introduced my page on TikTok as most of the content is in short-form as the platform is known for short-form and offers more reach.

Next, I went ahead with a trial-and-error approach to identify what content will work with my audience. Therefore the content overall is a combination of short-form (IG) and long-form (YT) videos, posts, stories and polls.

Between Youtube and Instagram, I observed that there is more engagement on my IG account. This didn’t come as a surprise to me as IG content is short-form while the Youtube video is longer and longer content tends to have lesser engagement.

My first few posts did not get the engagement I was anticipating. As such, I tried to take a different approach and started creating content featuring me in them. This personal touch helped gain more traction. This was the case across the three platforms.

Basis of my progress, moving forward, I am more inclined towards posting more frequently on my TikTok page as I typically recieve more views and impressions. Which also makes me conclude that content under 20-seconds works much better than content above that limit.

FEEDBACK!

The below two posts were part of my A/B testing method where I used two seperate tools to see which content resonates better with my audience.

the audio is a feedback i got on my youtube video.

The feedback on my second video was more positive, indicating that content featuring a person (in this case me), perform better

  1. Great Going Sakina! I’ve seen you grow from the start and loved how you’ve stuck to the idea of Fashion Fusion. Well I have a suggestion regarding YT Shorts, I feel either you should discontinue posting there or find ways to boost engagement on YouTube.
Also you could start including posts or stories related to interesting unknown facts about fashion. This would attract your audience toward the broader sense of fashion.
    Hope this helped πŸ™‚

  2. Really nice blog sakina!.I like how well structured and organized the blog . It’s a good thing that you tested and had a prototype out there it really helps with identifying key points and interests of the audience
I would suggest if maybe you had and idea of letting your followers or people on the spot choose an outfit for you where someone chooses the hijab color and someone else chooses the shoes etc, and by the end you rate it .
Overall the idea has a big potential to grow but needs more attention.
